Our Story

Nearly 50 years of craftsmanship in the heart of Stillwater

Founded by Maxine Myers Steanson — a native Stillwater artist with a background in portrait and animal art — Maxine's Custom Frames has been a cornerstone of Downtown Stillwater since 1976.

Every piece is framed entirely in-shop by our experienced staff, using modern specialized equipment and computer-assisted mat design. We use conservation-quality, acid-free matboard and backing that meets US Library of Congress standards.

Photo Restoration

Damaged, faded, or torn photographs restored to like-new condition. Scanned in-store — no shipping risk. Printed on Epson archival paper with long-lasting inks.

Shadowbox & Memorabilia

Three-dimensional keepsakes — jerseys, coins, medals, stamps — given a display worthy of the memory they hold. Security hangers available for businesses and schools.

Mounting & Canvas
